About the role
Manager, Counsel - Marketing: Card Partnerships The Card Legal Team is seeking a strategic and collaborative attorney to provide marketing advice and counsel to our Card Partnerships business. In this role, you will serve as a trusted legal partner to the credit card business, advising on marketing, account servicing, customer communication, promotions, new product strategies, and the customer lifecycle. About the Role: You will be responsible for reviewing customer-facing marketing and servicing collateral while working closely with our Card Partnerships business. Drawing on your knowledge of consumer financial regulatory laws, advertising laws, privacy laws, UDAAP, and risk management, you will: Review and Advise: Evaluate customer-facing marketing and servicing collateral for our consumer and small business credit card programs. Mitigate Risk: Identify and assess legal risks associated with marketing campaigns, ensuring account acquisitions and servicing comply with applicable laws and company standards. Collaborate: Partner with Card, Brand, the Business Risk Office, Corporate Communications, and Compliance stakeholders to address risks and develop creative, compliant solutions. Influence: Maintain regular, strategic interactions with senior business partners, Legal Department subject matter experts, and other business attorneys. Innovate: Engage actively as a legal support pillar within a highly collaborative, cross-functional team environment. Prior experience in financial services is a plus, but not strictly required.
