Why this is a fit
This Senior Counsel role at Empower aligns well with your target title, financial services industry, and remote US preference, but the core function is commercial contracts (drafting/negotiating client and vendor agreements) rather than your deep ERISA/employee benefits compliance and plan governance expertise — though the role does touch retirement plan services and multiemployer plans, which partially maps to your background. Your ~4 years of in-house experience approaches but may fall slightly short of the 5+ year contracts drafting emphasis required.
